KESSEL introduces new generation of INNO-CLEAN wastewater treatment system

New treatment tank provides advantages during installation and operation of system

(Lenting, January 12, 2009) The newest generation of the KESSEL INNO-CLEAN wastewater treatment system was introduced at the 2009 BAU Exhibition in Munich, Germany. Standard sized systems are now offered in a single tank configuration, access covers have been reduced to a single cover and the treatment system itself is now located directly below the access cover. The high treatment efficiency has remained the same employing the biological treatment process which cleans domestic wastewater without the use of any chemicals.

Installation and Operational Advantages

The new INNO-CLEAN tank is equipped with a single, centralized access opening. The heart of the treatment system is located directly below this opening making it easily accessible. If required the entire treatment system can easily be removed from the tank without even the need for any tools. All connections are quick clip connection which can be opened and closed by hand. 'In terms of ease of operation, the new generation INNO-CLEAN has brought maintenance and cleaning to a whole new level' discusses Markus Pfalzgraf the product manager responsible for the system.

Biological treatment lowers operational costs

The biological treatment process using the naturally occurring micro organisms which are present human waste. These organisms remove the pollutants from the wastewater and transform them into a so called Biomass. Neither maintenance intensive filter systems nor chemical substances are required for treatment. In addition there is no standard pump in the system which requires frequent maintenance but instead a low energy usage compressor pump - bringing maintenance and operational costs to a minimum.

An INNO-CLEAN system for a 4 person home requires approximately 146 kW of power per year. 'At 25 Euro cents per KW hour that calculates out to a cost of 35.50 Euro per year for operation', mentions Pfalzgraf. The new generation INNO-CLEAN is available in treatment classes C and D and is for use with buildings housing a maximum of 50 persons.

20 Year material guarantee

The material used in the manufacture of the INNO-CLEAN tanks is polyethylene (PE) which is a light weight, heavy duty material. The tank is easy to transport and easy to install due to its light weight and is manufactured by a modern rotational moulding system which assures a seamless 100% watertight system. For these reasons KESSEL is able to offer a 20 year guarantee on the tank itself.
